August 2018: ADTA ADVANCED Online Teacher Certification

Education that Matters, for Teachers who Care.

Ready to complete your Acro Teacher Training, and give your students the skills they need to become professional-level acrobats?

You have students who are really excelling, and you need to be able to provide them with advanced-level skills. But, we understand it can feel like quite the leap to take your acro certification all the way to the advanced level.

There's no reason that only a select few teachers should have the qualifications to produce professional-level acrobats. All dedicated teachers (like yourself!) are more than capable of certifying all the way and learning everything there is to acro, REGARDLESS of whether or not you learned these tricks as a student.

Like, you, we know what Advanced Acro Certification needs to be safe, easy to learn, and easy to implement.

  • Our Advanced Certification Course has produced Professional Teachers around the world.
  • Many students who train with our Advanced system continue on to have professional careers in the industry.
  • Teachers who have gone through the Advanced Program are well-known for producing high-level, injury-free acrobats.

Complete your certification and:

  • Become an ADTA Master Instructor, who is capable of taking students from complete beginner to professional-level acrobat!
  • Teach and spot advanced-level skills (including front aerials and back tucks/pikes/and layouts) safely and confidently.
  • Be highly sought-after, as an expert in your field.

So, how do you get started? That's easy:

Step #1: REGISTER for the online Advanced class to claim your spot.

Step #2: Ensure your teaching schedule for next year includes students that have completed the Intermediate-level work and are ready to implement the Advanced Curriculum.

Step #3: Complete the course material with your students and receive your Advanced Certification!

Ready to complete your training, and become an ADTA Master Instructor? Let's do this!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the right certification for me?
This Online Certification is for you if you've already completed your JUNIOR and INTERMEDIATE Certifications, either Online or In-Person. Note: you must have students who have completed their Intermediate Progress Chart and are ready to tackle the Advanced work.
How long is the Advanced course, and how does it work?
The Advanced Certification Course is an 11-month program that runs from August to June. August is your preparation month; from September - June, you will implement course work with your "implementation class" at your studio, with the coaching of ADTA Founder Melissa Klassen. Each month, you'll receive a Teacher Lesson, "how-to" trick tutorials, and a Classroom Plan as you learn exactly how to teach and spot all skills in the Advanced Division. As you learn, you will get all your questions answered during monthly Live Coaching Calls. In order to complete official certification, you will submit videos of you teaching and spotting each trick in the Advanced Division, and will receive a critique for each submission. You will learn the Advanced Division in one year, and then can take as long as you need to complete your video submissions to receive certification.
What costs are involved?
The Advanced Certification Course tuition fee is $499 USD, and includes: your monthly teacher lessons and implementation class lesson plans, monthly coaching calls, syllabus videos, textbook, student progress chart, and the private Facebook support group that you'll share with your online class.
What if I haven't taken the Junior or Intermediate courses yet, but am experienced and think I can handle the Advanced work?
In this case, we encourage you apply to our Fast-Track Program! In order to qualify, you must have seven or more years experience as a teacher of Acro Dance, and you must have students training at the Advanced level. To apply, email office@acrodanceteachersassociation.com with your resume (detailing your dance, Acro Dance, and acrobatics experience), and a reference letter(s) from your studio owner and/or studio clients.
What's your refund policy?
We have a 30 Day Money-Back Guarantee if you aren't happy with your Online Certification experience. Please email us at office@acrodanceteachersassociation.com if you are not completely satisfied and would like a refund on your tuition fee. *Please note that fluctuations in exchange rates, and your bank's currency exchange fees, are out of our control; the ADTA is not responsible for any discrepancy in purchase vs. refund amount.
What happens when there are syllabus updates/revisions?
Once you take your Online Certification, you'll continue to get all updates/revisions for as long as Online Certification exists, at NO extra cost to you.
Is there a minimum age to take the course?
Yes, all teachers must be a minimum of age 17 at the time of registration. Teachers who register before they are 17 will not be granted ADTA certification.
I'm a studio owner and I'd like two or more of my teachers to get certified. Do you offer a discount for studios registering more than one teacher?
Yes! If two or more teachers from your studio register, each teacher will receive $50 off their tuition. As a bonus, YOU will also receive a complimentary Syllabus Bundle (a $300 value), which is the property of your studio. We offer you a free Syllabus Bundle so you can rest assured that your studio will ALWAYS have an up-to-date version of the ADTA Syllabus. If you'd like to get two or more of your teachers registered, email us at office@acrodanceteachersassociation.com with the names of your teachers.
